Phase 2
I read the essay about fishing again and there was a part that never caught my attention as much the first time. The disappointment and shock from when they found out all of their collection of fishing stuff was gone really stuck out to me. Having collected for years and then it all disappearing has to be very hard to deal with. Especially the starting over part with the collection and finding the desire to even try again. Would it be worth it if the same thing would happen again? Its pretty sad that a person would steal that stuff in the first place.

Phase
I like both of the example essays because they both have a highlight of summer in them. The one essay is all about summer and how that person had the most fun of their life during that summer in particular. The other one has enough details about the lake and fishing that remind me of the days i spend at my lake cottage during the summer. Reading these makes me excited to write my phase essay which I'm sure will have to do with summer in one way or another.

Painting
This essay helps me return to football season when all my friends and I would paint. The emotion changes and feelings in this writing relate to exactly how it felt standing there in paint watching the game. I like the part about the underclassmen getting in the way because that is exactly how it would usually go. One senior would get angry if room in the stands was in short supply and very quickly all the painters would come together to help move a whole row of bleachers out.
